Nick Rayman
I am a lifelong music fan, and through my love of festivals my love of lots of different genres of music has expanded over the years.
I got involved with Barricade Radio in 2015 with my Independent Groove show. Since then I have gone on to present 150 editions of the show, either on Barricade Radio or purely as a podcast on iTunes, Mixcloud or PodBean. The show is a 2 hour exploration of new music from my favourite Independent labels, such as Tru Thoughts, Wah Wah 45s, Jalapeno, BBE, Hospital, First Word and many more. My style joins the dots between downtempo beats, funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, ghetto funk, house, and drum & bass!
Through Barricade Radio, I DJed at the Funky Sensation nights alongside DJ Dellamorte & Denzileo in Reading and Leicester. I also played at the Bearded Theory Festival for the last 2 years running. I DJed alongside Denzileo at the Maui Waui pirate ship, and also at Music In The Yard Festival between the bands.
I am looking forward to joining the Cutters Choice Radio family and bringing my Independent Groove every 2nd Saturday of the month from 2pm til 4pm GMT.
