I started out on my musical journey at the age of just 15 when I played bass in a punk / oi band called Blank Generation, alongside my brother Benny Fonzarelli. We were best known for writing the cult classic ‘Out Of My Head’. After the sudden break up of Blank Generation I joined up with 90’s punk rock outfit Rumpleteaser, once again playing bass. There were numerous line-up changes and bust-ups with Rumpleteaser and unfortunately when the fun stopped, the band stopped and so I decided to move on to DJing. 

As a DJ I was part of the Irreverence Soundsystem and I also continued to write music, including having a release of the remix of ‘Acid Chant’ by Madcab for the label Top Draw Digital. I initially started out in pirate radio playing on Trilogy FM and Point Blank before moving online to internet radio. I spent 10 years DJing on NSB Radio alongside West Ham Dave and then moved on to Cutters Choice Radio with my Freedom Sound show. I’ve been doing this regularly for the last 6 years. 

My style is an eclectic mix of rebel music from the ages. On any given week you can catch me spinning punk, hip hop, rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, soul, funk, big beat, reggae and dub from a collection that spans nations and generations. You can catch my show every 2nd Wednesday from 6pm til 8pm.
