OUR DJS

Lo Definition

I was a rave kid of the early 90’s and got my first DJing break in Northampton at a night called Taste at The Roadmender, which was a local house music favourite. Soon after I was playing at the club night Godskitchen which went on to international fame.

After moving to Brighton I started producing house and breakbeat tracks under the name Loop deVille. This was in the mid 2000’s and I achieved considerable success with a number of top 10 breaks releases in the Beatport charts and a vinyl release on the Brighton Breaks label. This was the sister label to the award-winning West Records.

In 2006 I co-founded the underground dance music station Brap FM which had a 24 hour international roster. I also went on to release original tracks and remixes under the name Lo Definition. This, coupled with residencies at some of Brightons hottest clubs including Concorde 2 and Volks Tavern meant that Lo Definition and Loop deVille were local favourites across multiple scenes due to their crossover style.

Zooming ahead to the current day, I am now a huge drum & bass head and have a show called ‘The Shakedown’ on Cutters Choice Radio. You can catch me every other Saturday 6-8, where I feature all of the hottest new releases from the scene.
